Talk:Piano Sonata No.8, D.571 (Schubert, Franz)

Page 2 of this piece is featured twice. And the 'end' is missing (I know it's an unfinished piece, but there is a chunk of music cut off from the end - unless of course, Andras Schiff played it incorrectly? ;))

You are right, there is at least one more page of music after the repeat sign (the development section of this sonata form movement). Other unfinished pieces from the complete works edition clearly show where the composer ended writing.

Could somebody upload the missing page(s)?

As I have heard in recordings of this piece, if the development section was availabe it would be possible to recostruct the piece as in the F minor sonata.

I have the 1997 Henle edition of this sonata. It lists the autograph as its sole source, with a critical report detailing the few differences between their edition and the autograph, so I suppose I could take the necessary material from there if I had to (as I could re-typeset it and give the same readings as Schubert's autograph). Or is this not allowed? If it's not allowed, I suppose we'll have to find the missing page of the Breitkopf & Härtel edition score. Double sharp 10:53, 22 April 2014 (EDT)

I've uploaded the complete file taken from BSB. Enjoy!--Cypressdome 20:27, 22 April 2014 (EDT)
