Talk:Violin Sonata No.1 (Bax, Arnold)

The 1945 reissue is a very, very substantial revision, with entirely new second and third movements (well, the second version is probably the substantial revision, the 1945 version may be more a slight revision- its history is complicated with 4 versions in all... ...) - is this really PD-US, unless it's the original 1910 score, which is unlikely? My mistake- the 1921 edition is the substantial revision of the 1910 first edition (1921 is the third of four editions...), the 1945 revision is a polishing of the 1921 edition. (The first edition of _this_ score is the second edition of 1915- the first edition of 1910 has entirely different second and third movements, making it effectively a different work really.) But yes, it's PD-US. Eric 16:57, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
