About Me

Hello, I'm a self-taught amateur composer/musician going by the pen name of Mary Smith-Cobblestone. I recently submitted my first proper compositions to IMSLP and am now awaiting their approval.

I love playing instruments and would love to play even more when I've become more accomplished with my current ones (though that seems like a long way away at the moment!). In particular, I hope to play the piano at a professional level one day. I compose for all the instruments I play and also dabble in writing for the orchestra.

I'd much prefer to be contacted via my user talk page, but may respond to an email depending on the topic (copyright concerns, etc.).

Goals

Pass Diploma Level (UK) for piano and play Chopin's Ballade No.1 (target time: September 2029).

Pass Grade 8 (UK) for the guitar (target time: May 2030).

Write a concerto for the piano and the guitar respectively (no target time).

Write an opera (no target time).
