English Folk Songs From The Southern Appalachians (Various)

Sorry to delete, but Maud Karpeles died in 1973, was an editor, etc. Thanks-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 17:46, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Are you sure? I can't find Karpeles' name anywhere in the book. Gus 17:59, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

I checked worldcat, and many entries listed her...-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 18:03, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

She is listed as co-editor in every reference I am familiar with. There may have been an early issue which only listed Sharp. BTW, you really probably should list a collection like this under the name of the person who put together the collection - Cecil Sharp in this case. I uploaded the 1917 version. WorldCat doesn't list Karpeles in that edition. The publisher is G.P. Putnam's Sons \ New York and London \ The Knickerbocker Press. The version with Karpeles is the one with Oxford University Press. Gus 18:13, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
So my memory of an earlier issue turns out to be correct. OK, I'll restore your file and have a look. Thanks for the info. Carolus 18:15, 16 May 2010 (UTC) UPDATE: OK, there's another problem with this item - Microsoft logos on every page. I'll have to delete this for that reason. If you can clean up the image and get rid of all the Microsoft logos, the revised file can be uploaded. Items with trademarks and logos are not allowed, as trademarks and logos are IP which has no term of limitation as long as it is in use. Carolus 18:22, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
What a shame. . . this requires special software. Keep up the good work. Gus 19:13, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Actually, one can use a free editor like GIMP.-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 19:49, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

I have that, but the removal has to be page by page, as far as I know. Gus 20:56, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

IMSLP:Wishlist contains the wishlist page rules. Read them. Learn them. Then go to the individual wishlist pages and follow the format so that later editors do not have to come in and correct your work, to standardize it with everyone else's- there is a standard form for the header of each composer entry: {{cat|composer last name, composer first name}} (birth year–death year) (the stuff inside cat should be exactly the same as the existing composer Category, if there is one, so be sure to Search first.) Sibley Uploads

Dear Gus, You have to use the Sibley link on the workpage to correctly upload items from their collection. Uploading via other methods messes up the index and linking which we're trying to keep current. Thanks, Carolus 05:14, 19 January 2012 (UTC) (IMSLP Admin)

Sorry. I found those items by searching on Google. Gus 06:04, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
