Symphony No.5, Op.100 (Prokofiev, Sergei)

I'm a little confused - your second contribution is a file that apparently hasn't been "officially submitted", or something... Did you use the Add a score file to this page link to add it (the other option for adding music PDFs to a work page is the add multiple score files there)- assuming that that file is a scan of symphony 5, that is :) ...? Gershwin

Hello Iradirad131. Unfortunately, I had to delete both your Gershwin contributions, because they were (respectively) edited and arranged by F. Campbell-Watson and Ferde Grofé, both of whom died less than 50 years ago. The editions are therefore under copyright in virtually the entire world. Please have a look at this page for more information on copyright law as it applies to IMSLP. Thanks, KGill talk email 14:02, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Stravinksy: Le chant du rossignol

Dear Iradirad131,

Stravinky is not public domain in Canada, where IMSLP's main server is located. Only admins who are US residents have the ability to upload files to the separate USA server. Therefore, you're attempt to upload this work is quite illegal as it is unlikely you are uploading from the USA. We moreover already have a page for this work and did not need for you to create a needless duplicate. The file you uploaded will be deleted.

Suor Angelica (Il Trittico)

Hello Iradirad131. Your upload to this page had to be deleted - not only were there trademarked CDSM logos on every page, but the text is by Giovacchino Forzano (d.1970) and is under copyright virtually everywhere except the US. If you wish to upload this file, you will have to find some way to remove all the logos, and then ask someone to upload it to the US server (which is the only way it will be allowed here until 1 January 2021). Thanks, KGill talk email 00:10, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Dear Iradirad131, The same problem apples to Gianni Schicchi as to Suor Angelica. Under the copyright law of Canada, a work is protected for 50 years after the death of the last surviving contibutor. Even though the composer (Puccini) has been dead over 50 years, the librettist Giovacchino Forzano (1884-1970) has not. The work is therefore protected in Canada and can only be uploaded to the USA server, which only admins can do right now. It therefore has been deleted from the Canadian server you uploaded it to. The Cunning Little Vixen (Janáček, Leoš)

Hi Iradirad. I notice that the synopsis you uploaded is from Spike's World; do you have permission from whoever currently owns the site to post it here? Thanks, KGill talk email 20:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Alexander Street Press

Dear Iradirad131, We can't allow items with logos as logos are intellectual property akin to trademarks - which have no durational limit. I therefore had to delete the Prokofiev Op.33a score you kindly provided, sorry to say. Thanks, Carolus 04:06, 20 September 2011 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)
