This gorgeous little study is an example of Sor's genius in
writing simple pieces that yet contain a great deal of musical
appeal.
Though it's an easy piece, it does have its challenging moments,
especially the shift in the right-hand pattern at bars 19-20.
Making this sound smooth and effortless is part of the challenge
in this pretty little study.
In the midi demo, each string of the guitar is treated as a
separate instrument, and is assigned its own midi channel. The
result is, I think you'll agree, a very faithful midi
"performance" the likes of which would have been almost
impossible by the usual means.
Bars 31 and 32 (the first ending in the repeat) were added by
myself. If you don't agree that they're appropriate here, please
skip bars 31-34 to restore Sor's original.
