Excellent legibility, but the pagination is inconvenient, requiring many page turns in the middle of a study.
Reformatted version of Buttgenbach's typeset:
Book 1: Each study is now on one or two pages, with no turns.
Book 2: Each study is now on one or two pages, except for no 21, which is on 3 pages.
Book 3: Each study is now on one or two pages, except for nos 30 and 34, which are on 3 pages.
A few errors remain, for ex: No.23 meas 10, 3rd note should be E, No.27 meas 65-66, all notes A , No.29 meas 28, last note E♭, meas 67, first note D
