Any suggestion how to deal with multiple entries (plate number styles) for one publisher? The point is I want these lines on a different layout level than the main line of the publisher, but can't just leave the publisher name empty, as each line need to be identifiable after sorting on the other columns. I've tried some different possibilities here:

More tables like this can be found in this - quite expensive - book:
Title: Dictionnaire des éditeurs de musique francais Devriès, Anik & Lesure, François Éditions Minkoff, 1979.
ISBN 2-8266-0460-0 and 2-8266-0461-9
I have a piece from this publishing company, but it says the title is actually Edward B. Marks, not Edwin. I don't know anything about the company, but that's what I noticed. Jefflyon 13:20, 22 June 2010 (MST)
I think that some substantial work needs to be done on this page; trying to find more data and publishers, add the publishers that we have, etc.-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 22:55, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
In this connection I note a partial list of publishers active in 1918 here. We don't have some of them - not rare ones (Klemm seems to turn up fairly often in HMB, for instance, at least HMB for the 1910s) - listed here at all. So need to work on improvement.. (yes, me too of course- so far as I can contribute that is. I don't know the biography of these publishers etc. ...) Eric 21:53, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
We have publications by most of the publishers listed on this page. Regretfully, there are many that are either not listed altogether, or do not link to a publisher page complete with information and plate tables. I think we would benefit from a small scale project aimed at fixing this problem. I will try try to add a couple of publishers per day, starting first by creating pages for those already listed without a category. Does anyone else want to jump in and lend a hand? Hi KGill. Thanks for volunteering. I like your idea of one of us starting at the top and the other at the bottom. The only problem that could occur is if other people decide to volunteer and become confused as to where to start. For now, would you be OK with starting from the bottom and working your way up? It's a good idea. My one caution has to do with the issue we were discussing on the forum with respect to magazines and periodicals: should music publishers be included in the "People" category? If so, how best to integrate the pages we have (some of which have extensive histories, plate number listings and the like) with a category page in which numerous works would be listed? If adding the new publishers doesn't create a potential 'merging' problem down the road, full speed ahead. Carolus 03:36, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Fantastic, Perlnerd666! Beautiful work so far, KGill. Respectfully, Emery 04:04, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Going on the thread above, I was looking for the Boston-based 19th century publisher Henry Tolman, but didn't find a page. But a search reveals there are a number of publications of his represented. What is the procedure for creating a new page for this publisher (and for others in the future)? -- Kosboot 16:58, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
