Misc. Comments

The first musical ideas for Preludio e Presto can dated to late 1927. During the first months of 1928, Nielsen finished the work, end-dating the fair copy on 28 March. He regularly discussed technical problems with Emil Telmányi, who premiered the work in April that year.
