Misc. Comments
Authorship by Haydn is in doubt.
Whoever it is by, it should be incorporated into the wind partita (the 3-movement Divertimento in G major, Hob.II:9 or other identification etc.), whose slow movement is one statement of the chorale theme (about as heard - I think - in the beginning of the orchestral version of the Brahms variations - except, of course, without strings and in chamber form)- rather than as a separate piece. (See Wikipedia for some of the musical background there.) Whether by Haydn, Pleyel or another composer this was not composed as a separate piece but as a movement of another work; our reasonable policies specify that it be part of a page devoted to that other work (with authorship perhaps given as Anonymous ?) - Schissel
