Copyright Information
This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was first published before March 1, 1989, and was either first published in the United States, published in the United States within thirty days of its first publication abroad, or its author was a US citizen, and this publication occurred without a compliant copyright notice, and, if published in 1978 or later, the work did not have its copyright registered under a curing provision within five years of publication.
The score was apparently published without a copyright notice: "Reproduced and bound by Independent Music Publishers." The underlying text by Robert Frost, "The Secret Sits," was published in a collection of poetry with a 1942 copyright notice, but might not qualify for a US copyright by itself due to its brevity (aside from being republished here with apparent permission but no notice).
