These 3 quartets are mentioned by Baker's in their brief biography of Walter (and in HMB, and in the Walter entry on Wikipedia, in their brief worklist.)

BSB (Bavarian library) also has these works, it seems "scannable on demand".

A list of Walter's manuscripts at Basel library lists Op.1 quartets and gives their dates of composition as 1840-1842. 2 quartets are also listed separately that may be part of the Op.1 set (or may be other quartets he composed around the same time) with keys D minor and C minor. (The C minor could be Op.1 No.3; the D minor, Op.1 No.2, depending on the accuracy of our source which has it as F major instead- inaccuracies parallel or relative-minor-wise in publications about music have never been rare.)

Dutch Royal Library has the order of nos. 2 and 3 as C minor and F major, and the date of issue as 1844 (from WeinmannSSH, Bd.2, p.159: dat. Nov. 1844 for no.3).
