Auguste Bosc (1868—1945) was a famous popular composer (e.g. Marche des petits Pierrots), orchestra leader and impressario of the Belle Epoque. He founded the Bal Tabarin in 1904.
Bosc published light music, mainly songs and piano pieces from 1893 to 1939. It was very productive, issuing 1000 works between 1893 and 1914 alone. About half the items were by Bosc himself and others by Adolphe Gauwin, Albert Labbe etc. Some of the items feature cover illustrations by famous artists of the day such as Burret and the Clérice brothers.
