Jacques Derrida discovers, thematized and conceptualized life as fingerprints, as dust, as ghosts. In this sense he thinks the spectral phenomena, the erasing that happens before that happens. The disappearance at the heart of the emergence of phenomena: the ashes as "essence" without essence of matter. This materiality requires then that the concept of reality is thought again, and that history and temporality are preceded by the spectral phenomena. Traces of life as being-in-deconstruction.
