Navigation etc.

  • With the identifying number as "WoO 35", the original instrumentation is bassoon and piano. However, Grove Music lists this work as for "Bn, pf: Adagio, F, woo35, 1817 (Mainz, c1869) *D-Ksp [based on op.115, 2nd movt]". The op.115 is a Sonata for violin with harp or piano. The original key was G or A, depending on whether the harpist tuned down a semitone.
  • Westbrook's adaptation for organ is in the key of Spohr's adaptation for bassoon.
Should arguably be moved to an Op.115 page - as the original form? - as an arrangement of a movement of it (which is precedented; that's all we have so far (perhaps ever? not sure if the rest is published) of Emanuel Moór's double concerto, for instance, though in that case it's his own arrangement, I think, of its slow movement.) - Schissel
