  • Airs et brunettes à deux et trois dessus pour les flutes traversières tirez des meilleurs autheurs, anciens et modernes. Ensemble les airs de Mrs. Lambert, Lully, de Bousset...   • Although most of these airs have the words either throughout the air, or at least at the beginning of the air, BnF considers them to be arrangements for 1, 2, or 3 flutes with no mention of the vocal part. It would appear that the vocal text is there only to remind the flutists what the original air was.
  • Several of the parts go to G below middle C, i.e. out of range for a normal flute (especially at that time when the lowest note was D, not middle C). Some of these, but not all, are labelled "basse". These are unfigured, so they will be tagged with an open bass tag. However, it is interesting to note that, for example, the p.16 Brunette en Trio says "a 3 Fluttes", even though the third part is labelled "Basse".
