Navigation etc.

This piece is a reconstruction of a harpsichord piece believed to be by Dr. Maurice Greene from a 6 1/2 measure fragment . The original can be found in the City of London, Guildhall Library, Gresham Collection MS G Mus 375 at f. 39. It follows 18 short single pieces which are thought to have been written by Greene for his pupil Jonathan Battishill and are there dated August 1753. The unattributed A major fragment is in the same hand as that of the 18 short organ pieces.

The piece has been completed by Grant Colburn further developing the themes found in the original fragment. It is untitled in the manuscript.
