(somewhat unclear whether the piano and cabinet organ parts are meant to be played as a duet or are offered as alternative parts - arrangement for piano, and arrangement for cabinet organ. How many homes had both? - against, how many homes (... or convents and seminaries...) had one or the other? - the cabinet organ was at least as popular as the piano for home music-making, I seem to recall, in the late 19th century USA. ...
