One of five Italian musicians recruited in Venice in 1722 for service at the court of Count Rudolf Franz Erwein von Schönborn, he was a bass-baritone known as “Momolo.” Following the count’s death in 1724, he continued his career at the court of Würzburg. (Michael Talbot: Fortunato Chelleri's Cantate e arie con stromenti, 2011). According to Oskar Kaul, he was a member of the Würzburg Hofkapelle from 1722 to 1730 (Geschichte der Würzburger Hofmusik im 18.Jahrhundert, 1724).
