Detailed biography: babel.hathitrust.org Max Burger (1856-1917) was born in the Bavarian town of Oberalting not far Munich. He worked as a composer and music teacher in the Barvarian towns of Rosenheim, Freising and Bamburg where he held the position of Königlicher Seminaroberlehrer. He composed in most genres, including works for organ, piano, violin, for which he wrote a concerto and chamber music including a string quartet and a piano trio, he entitled Jugendtrio.
