Musicsack lists 1845 as year of birth, which seems almost impossible. (Almost.) Ancestry lists a musician, who was born in 1837, travelling several times between Germany and New York. His last travel was 1922. (Wikidata seems insistent on 1845 ca., and publication of a work at age 14 not unknown...)
