  • His five siblings all lived long lives and were professional musicians. Their father was Vojtěch Hřímalý Senior (1810–1880)
  • Adalbert was father of Otakar Hřímalý (1883–1945), and brother of Jan Hřímalý (1844–1915).
  • The siblings settled in widely spaced places: Adalbert lived in Czernowitz (Bukovina, now Ukraine) for 30 years during its heyday. Jan in Russia, his two sisters (singers) in Vienna, and his brothers Bohumil and Jaromir in Helsinki.
  • In the 1870s, he played 2nd violin in the Hrimaly Brothers String Quartet, with Jan Hřímalý (1st violin), Bohumil (viola), and Jaromir (cello).
