- Detailed biography: Kyle Ching-Song Hsieh believes that music is a powerful lifeblood which connects people together. When he was six years old, Kyle started studying percussion in an ensemble led by Shu-Ming Tsai from Ju Percussion Group. Under her tuition, the ensemble walk away from national competitions with He would also join his family and friends at events such as Stage Time and Juice (open mic for kids), Parents’ Place (a children' s learning workshop led by his mum), and Maling Elementary School Performance Assemblies (where he would totally rock out singing “What Does The Fox Say!”). After moving to New Zealand in 2015, he played drumkit for the Greymouth Municipal Brass Band which lasted seven years. In 2017 he began studying piano under Sue Falvey, who helped him achieve distinction after distinction— up to Grade 8 Trinity. In 2018, Kyle founded, composed, and played keyboard for the high-school rock band Temporarily Iced Cats. Simultaneously, he took on auxiliary percussion for the jazz ensemble Not Just Jazz. In 2023, Kyle began his journey into the Christchurch scene through the University of Canterbury. Through a connection at Arcady Hall, he joined the barbershop chorus Quantum Acoustics.
