Simone Orefice is a Italian double bassist, pianist, and composer whose musical language is profoundly rooted in the Baroque aesthetic. His primary source of inspiration is the work of Antonio Vivaldi, from whom he draws rhythmic vitality and melodic expressiveness. His compositional output follows two distinct paths: a rigorous stylistic pursuit of works written in pure Baroque style, and the exploration of modern idioms. In several instances, his writing creates a compelling stylistic fusion, where modern musical languages and techniques are harmoniously woven into traditional Baroque structures and forms.
His works are organized according to the OWV catalogue, an abbreviation for Orefice-Werke-Verzeichnis (Orefice Works Catalogue). The following 26 pages are in this category, out of 26 total.
