The composer of the work below is given as "Matheo Zerrano", "Mateo Zerrano" and on the parts "Serrano". The only reference that could be found was to Mateo Serrano, who in 1640 was commissioned by the Málaga Cathedral council to write music for the Christmas services that year due to the failing health of their Maestro de Capilla Esteban Brito. The flourished dates are based on this reference.
