- Detailed biography: At 4 years of age her family moved to the state capital of Jalisco, Guadalajara. Since then she began to demonstrate a good ear and great aptitude for music, so much so as to begin her studies in music and piano at the Serratos Academy in Guadalajara from the age of 6. After 9 years of study, she moved to Mexico City, where she continued her studies and graduated as a concert pianist and music teacher, and soon after began her activity as a composer of popular music. As a piano player, she was the soloist of the "Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional y de la Filarmónica de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México". As a composer her most famous pieces are No me pidas nunca, Pasional and Déjame quererte. Later followed, among many titles, songs like Bésame mucho, Amar y vivir, Verdad Amarga, Franqueza, Chiqui, Cachito, Que seas feliz, Enamorada, Orgullosa y bonita and Yo no fui.
