Wiel-Lange was a Danish composer, organist, and educator who studied at the Royal Danish Conservatory under J. C. Gebauer. Alongside his work as a private teacher and school instructor, he produced notable compositions in his youth, including a G-major concert overture premiered in Tivoli in 1880 and the concert piece El jaleo de Xeres for soloists, choir, and orchestra. He is also remembered for his piano works—above all his charming *Eventyrbilleder*, which stand out for their graceful and unpretentious character. Wiel-Lange also contributed to church music and theoretical pedagogy, editing the second edition of Gebauer’s harmony exercise book and providing a respected explanatory guide.
