All works by this person are still under copyright in Canada, the EU, Japan, and elsewhere and are thus subject to deletion. The works are also probably copyrighted in the U.S. if first published after 1925. (See public domain.) An exception is if the person or copyright holder allows IMSLP to use the works in a manner similar to a work in the public domain. If this is the case, please choose the "Creative Commons" or "Performance Restricted" license instead of "Public Domain" when submitting the file (or edit it to such, if already submitted). In such cases, it is necessary to put a copyright notice with the copyright type somewhere in the file, to prevent confusion.
This message will be removed when the works enter the public domain naturally.

Born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Ed Witt (b. 1991) began his musical endeavors by taking piano lessons at The Pittsburgh Music Academy in his childhood. Later taking up the Trumpet and Percussion, he frequently performed in many of the ensembles within the Mt. Lebanon School District, which is recognized nationally for its superior fine arts programs. He began arranging and composing for several of these groups by his Junior year, namely the highly decorated Mt. Lebanon High School Percussion Ensemble. Several of these works have received national publication by C. Alan Publications. Currently under the guidance of Nancy Galbraith, his work attempts to tell stories through colorful, lush harmonies and memorable melodies. With his knowledge and performance experience on many different instruments, his primary goal is to write idiomatically and effectively for every part, creating an experience that is both enjoyable for an audience to listen to as well as fun for the performers to play.
