Navigation etc.
- Finale by Herrn Prof. Hegenbart
- The orchestration is assumed to be an orchestra with winds rather than a string orchestra, but this is subject to correction. Oddly, neither Grove Music (whose works list is admittedly selective), nor the Cambridge Companion to the Cello, list this concerto.
- Well, does RISM online (a search @ opac.rism.info) say anything? ... There may also be scholarly works about Dotzauer by people who have put (one assumes) much time into learning about his work, that one can borrow/inter-loan... Grove is a general resource with some, but not enough, articles by experts (they've a deservedly bad reputation for setting generalists to "less important" composers (eg Havergal Brian when he was still alive...) over the years with horrible results); specific resources are usually to be preferred where available...
Op.112 also assigned to Le désert musical, pièce brillant p. Vclle., published by Challier in 1841.
