Misc. Notes Urtext edition copied from the original A major manuscript for solo bass and piano. Solo part is transcribed to G major for performance in various tunings. The "notated octave lower" version copies Bottesini's traditional notation method of writing all the pitches an octave lower than performed. This method requires less leger lines and clef changes but requires the performer to read all notes an octave higher than printed.

This edition corrects the many errors from the Doblinger and Ars Viva editions.
