Extra Information | Interpolated into Giselle |
This interpolation is by Pugni according to the title, but might also be by Drigo, from other sources. Also, the premiere date of 1880 is uncertain. Some sites claim it is 1887, and some say it is 1886.
CORRECTION- The sheet music sites an old Wikipedia entry by me that is incorrect. This music is not by Pugni or from Cupid's Prank. This variation is by Riccardo Drigo, perhaps for the Italian ballerina Emma Bessone's Russian debut in Giselle in April 1887 in St. Petersburg. I believe Agrippina Vaganova is responsible for adding it to the Kirov production of Giselle in Leningrad in the 1930's. -MLopez2681 14:41, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
