Catalogued as "No.1" (of 6) in Add MS 17826.

Published by Doblinger in 1958 as "A Famous Concerto", transposed to A major for solo tuning. Both movements also appear as No.14 of the Double Bass Solos, and in yet another volume with string quartet accompaniment. This latter version was published by G. Henle Verlag in 2014.

The piece is also the subject of Anthony Scelba's PhD dissertation, Domenico Dragonetti: Grand Concert-Piece for Double Bass (1976) which includes an edition "with many departures from the source in order to meliorate the work and make it more attractive to a contemporary audience". The folio numbers he gives seem to also include the movements of concertos 2 and 3.
