Performance in 1898 March in Utrecht mentioned in the Algemeen Handelsblad, 19 March 1898.
Later, performed at the London Proms 1902-8-28. Maybe performed 1900 or at least discussed then in an article about an upcoming festival in a 1900 issue of the magazine Zeitschrift Der Internationalen Musikgesellschaft (p.340). Also, Giessel was only up to plate 92 in 1901*, so publication was 1901/2 or later- later seems likely somehow. Google books estimates 1903. However, 1901- it's in Hofmeister Verzeichnis 1901, page 8 (also mentioned in a "no preview" by Google, and verified in our uploaded scan thereof). (Since the Verzeichnis is a yearly publication strictly by category, early appearance does not imply possible 1900 publication as with some HMB volumes.)
