Gast wrote a cantata for the Erntedank Fest, Op.102, published in 1886 or so. Having trouble turning up any independent information about this one that would help clarify the claimed 1870-ca. date, give a date of publication, or anything else. Nothing in HMB, Worldcat, or etc. (maybe KVK, ONB-Musiksammlung, etc.; haven't checked there yet.) Odd.
