Misc. Notes N.B. Spurious attribution to Reginald Spofford [sic], title "Be never blind". A search doesn't even show evidence of a work by this name by Spofforth - or indeed by anyone. The arranger has not given any information on what sheet music he used when he arranged it, so the source and provenance is completely unknown. However, it has so much in common with Nägeli's song "Freut euch des Lebens" (Life let us cherish) that the only explanation can be that it derives wholly from that song. The top line here works as a harmony part to that song, from which it has been wrenched and given new harmonic clothing. For now, and until further evidence arises, this arrangement will stay on this page.
