Misc. Comments

Apparently this piece was quite popular in the late 19th century, with many reprints. Every link I found online just mentions Vilbré (or Vilbre) as the author, but this single page claims Guillaime Vilbré is a pseudonym of Charles Kinkel: http://collections.si.edu/search/record/siris_sil_982493. I haven't found a confirmation, but it looks plausible. - R.P.
