I started writing this composition after giving guitar lessons to a very dear student called Denério, a musical enthusiast who showed me different ways of thinking about sounds and music, as well as how to practice them, without prejudices and without sociocultural definitions that could limit our sensory experience. As he is a big fan of rock’n’roll, like me, I made a connection between what I learned from him and what I learned (and continue to
learn) from my experiences with Jimi Hendrix. I believe that Hendrix, like Denério, was onestep ahead of many sonic and cultural stimuli. I dedicate this piece to both of them.
