The first edition of this song stated that Eddie Leonard was the lyricist and Eddie Munson was the composer. The second edition stated that Leonard had composed both words and lyrics. A later edition indicated the same as the first, that Leonard wrote the lyrics and Munson the composer. As there is very little information about Munson, it is possible that the name is a pseudonym for Leonard.
