An anonymous 17th-century manuscript comprising information about and basic instructions for 30 different instruments. Roughly two thirds of the text is in German with the remaining third in Latin.
According to the Galpin Society Journal article, "The text is heavily biased towards stringed instruments, containing detailed instruction on tuning and fingering of a wide variety of bowed and plucked instruments. . . . The wind instruments are discussed more cursorily; nevertheless useful information on fingering patterns for curtals, recorders and cornetts is included."
