This Klaver-Etude is Ludolf Nielsens last original work for piano and was composed on the 14th January 1922 in his Hellerup home. Later, he arranged this piece as Capriccio "Bækken" (rill) for Flute, Oboe, Cello and Piano, which can also be found on IMSLP.
