Su más famosa obra, el pasillo instrumental, "La Gata Golosa", fue compuesta originalmente con el nombre de “Ideal”, pero unos años mas tarde el maestro Fulgencio, lo rebautizó con el nombre con el que seguiría figurando siempre: "La Gata Golosa", en recuerdo de un centro Bogotano de tertulia y bohemia de su época.
