| Extra Information | This is a version for voices and instruments of the first Italian literary text, the so-called Canticle of the Creatures by St. Francis of Assisi, which will celebrate its 800th anniversary in 2026. It is conceived to be performed in schools or by amateur groups (but it can also be considered by professional ensembles). The music respects, albeit not in an orthodox way, the style of the text's era, the 13th century, so it is perfectly suited also for early music ensembles.
A composer's elaboration for large school orchestra is available in "Arrangements and Transcriptions". |
