The poem by A. de Vigny is dated 1826, and the music setting by Jh. Roger was published by Maurice Schlesinger, a music publisher in Paris between 1821 and 1848. Joseph Roger, if "Jh. Roger" is in fact he, was also himself a music publisher at least in 1833. The plate table suggests a date of ca.1835, which bears looking into at BdlF. (If Schlesinger's address changed at any point in the 1830s, then that might also help put limits on the publication date of the uploaded score.)
