  • Grove Music incorrectly lists the instrumentation as "3/3vv, bc", i.e. 3 solo voices, 3-part chorus, continuo".
  • BnF lists the instrumentation as "Transposable pour haute-contre, taille, basse et choeur mixte (Sol 2, Ut 3, Ut 4, Fa 4)".
  • Charpentier wrote this for a convent, with all-female voices, but he also annotated the manuscript with instructions on how to rework the faux bourdon movements for SATB chorus.
