John Maw Study in C for Mandocello - October 2015 A short study in C major written for John Maw of the London Mandolin Ensemble (and quartet) when he acquired a mandocello The MP3 file is in two halves - the first is for solo mandocello and the second is the same but with a melody for mandolin or guitar above it. The print files (pdf) are as follows JohnMawBass is the study at pitch, written in the bass clef. JohnMawTreble is the study written in C, using the treble clef. JohnMawFull is the version with mandocello part in the bass clef with an accompanying melody for mandolin or guitar JohnMawMM is the study transposed into G and written in the treble clef to be played on either mandolin or 8ve mandola.
