| Extra Information | The premiere was in 1876, presumably sung in German, since the author of the Czech text (Piskáček) from the first edition was too young to have contributed at that point. The Hudec catalogue only mentions Kinkel as the librettist, so the original version used in the first performance (prior to first publication) probably did not have Czech text. Fibich has another Op.55 (Helga, Pád Arkuna part 1), but on IMSLP, that work tracked at Pád Arkuna, Op.60. |
