Navigation etc.

  • The Giant of Finnish National Romantic choral literature. Regarded as impossible or far too difficult for any choir by Kuula's teacher M. Labey in the Paris Conservatory and conductor Klemetti (who had commissioned the work for the choir's 10th anniversary). Pretty soon after the premiere Klemetti insisted on an instrumental accompaniment which Kuula supplied some time after 1910. The piano part is almost completely the same as vocal part reduced to 2 staffs.
