  • The first part composed on an on and off basis 2010?-2011-2012, but on receiving the first part of this quadryptic, the dedicatee, organ recitalist Cédric Burgelin (, indicated he would welcome a continuation to this collection of small diverse pieces for the church organ. Accordingly the composer has decided to pursue this project, basing it on the four elements along the lines of the first piece : Flammèches or Flying Sparks. The second element is Water, and that part is called Captages (catchments). The third element, Air, has the title Souffles (breaths, or, gusts). The fourth, Earth, bears the title : Ancrages (anchoring). A fifth element (Ether or Plasma ?), with the title Fusions, brings the collection to a close (not yet added). However, this project was later abandoned in favor of this piece being added as the number one piece of the compendium entitled Pièces de Fantaisie.
  • The first number of this series, Flammèches, has been extensively reworked (revised and augmented) following a request from its dedicatee to perform it in public (September 2014). Accordingly, the previous oblong format has been revamped in A4 with an appropriate cover, and accompanying pages with general information about the contents and the composer. The rest of the set has been revised and reworked in places during the summer of 2019 without changing the format.
