Numbers 1 & 2 composed c.1990. Numbers 3 & 4 designed as fillers (10.26.2011) This work has undergone a major overhaul as of Jan. 2018. Nos 3 & 4 have been discarded, as judged substandard compared to nos. 1 & 2. The latter retained but completely revised and retitled. Hopefully a second diptych will be forthcoming to replace the inferior nos. 3 & 4.
Indeed, a replacement diptych has been added as of April 25th 2019. This time, it conforms to the composer's latest practice : very few graphical interpretive indications, in favor of minute audio adjustments, with the left and right hands on two different channel outlets.
