1870 seems right - see Musikalisches Conversations-Lexikon, volume 2, page 640. However, this doesn't establish more than a range between 1870-1872. However, the sonata is briefly reviewed in Signale für die musikalischen welt, 21 January 1871, p.75. This shows a release date in or by 1871 (assuming the dates on the first pages of these magazines more or less reflect release dates within a reasonable epsilon, which is not always true.)
